Bow-Wow! Imagine my surprise when the team from CREC (Capital Region Education Counsel) in Hartford, CT emailed me an article from the Rocky Hill Life magazine that was all about my Team Schmitty The Weather Dog visit to the CREC Academy of Aerospace & Engineering Elementary School in Rocky Hill, CT. It was such a PAWSOME article. I was blushing through my fur! Arf-Arf!
In October, we brought my Schmitty The Weather Dog Weather/Science Assembly to 3 CREC schools in the Hartford, CT area – The CREC Ana Grace Academy of the Arts Elementary Magnet School, The CREC Discovery Academy, and as mentioned above, the CREC Academy of Aerospace & Engineering Elementary School. Here’s a few fun pics of my visits:
Students have fun waving my Schmitty The Weather Dog 10 Weather Facts cards with the CREC Team & STWD Team looking on.
Paw-to-graphing books for my CREC Academy of Aerospace & Engineering school fundraiser can be exhausting!
Top Dog Principal Gayle Hill looks on while Author Elly & I paw-to-graph a book for the school library.
CREC STEM Coach, Dr Jan Mooney-Frank shares my story at home with her pups, Eleanor & Henry. Literacy & science rock/bark!
Honored to have been the very 1st assembly at the Ana Grace Academy of the Arts, we gathered to celebrate with Principal Phelan and all the fab teachers.
A four-paws up for Terry Wilson, a very nice human and the Elementary Science Curriculum Specialist for CREC. She was the top dog who made our visits possible! Bow-Wow!
Stay tuned for more schools visits. Who know – maybe we’ll even show up at your school!
Arf-Arf,
Schmitty The Weather Dog
