Bringing Science to Kids In LA!
Written By: Schmitty The Weather Dog | June 05, 2014
I just flew back from visiting sunny California and boy are my paws tired! BOL!
I played, visited two-legged friends, and hung out at some nice restaurants. I even brought my Schmitty The Weather Dog Weather/Science Assembly to students at two elementary schools and a children’s museum too. Here’s some pics to make your tail wag.
Getting ready to do my Weather/Science Assembly here at the Brentwood Science Magnet School. Can you say cool school?
Author Elly introduces my book to the 2nd & 3rd graders while Vice Principal Chavira runs the projector. Hey, it takes a village! Arf-Arf!
Ms Evans the Librarian, Principal Taylor, Asst Principal Chavira, Meteorologist Ron and Author Elly join me for some puparazzi after our assembly.
A four paws up to custodial top dog & new BFF, Miquel Flores, who helped to make my assembly rock/bark!
Getting ready to bring science and fun to kids at the Delphi Academy in Santa Monica. Just a block from the beach. Cowabunga!
These students are really into the weather. I think I see some future weather humans. Arf-Arf!
Delphi Academy students waving my Weather Facts Card. Now that makes my tail wag.
Pawsigning a book for the Delphi Academy Head of School, Ms Garrison. She’s one nice human.
Then it was off to the Zimmer Children’s Museum. What a pawsome place for kids to play!
Never mind the spelling. The kids gave me top billing. Arf-Arf!
Everybody say “O”! Whatever that means.
Pawsigning a book for Superman. Make that Superkid.
Finally been to the Wailing Wall. At the Zimmer Children’s Museum that is.
In conclusion . . . I LOVE LA! And I hope I can visit your school when I come back on my National Schmitty The Weather Dog Weather/Science Assembly Tour! Right now I’m gonna go nap.
Arf-Arf,
Schmitty The Weather Dog
