Now that I’m traveling to lots of new schools in lots of new cities and towns outside of NYC, I’m really becoming an ARF-icionado of pet friendly hotels, motels and B&B’s. So I thought I’d share with you the latest place I stayed while attending the Connecticut Science Teachers Association Conference just before Thanksgiving.
Team Schmitty The Weather Dog stayed for two nights at the pet friendly Best Western PLUS Hotel in North Haven, CT. To borrow a quote from one of the lines in my Schmitty The Weather Dog:Daydream book – “My tail was waggin’ like a windshield wiper” the whole time I was there. It was PAWSOME .

The BWP front desk managers & staff were super nice humans and really helpful!
A comfy bed with sheets that have a nice thread count made nap time irresistible!
My room had a Great Dane size TV. Perfect for watching “Home Alone” for the umpteenth time. Arf-Arf!
The BWP shuttle driven by Mr Ernie took us to & from the CSTA conference. What a treat!
Meteorologist Ron & Author Elly ate every night at Harry’s Sports Bar. They said everyone was so nice and the food was yummy. I wouldn’t know.
They even have an indoor pool. Need I say more?
They say dogs should socialize. Here I am with my new friend, Mikey!
